Today was a relatively calm day.. wrapping up chores, getting the house in order and throwing out pretty much every perishable item in the house. I did that because I was travelling today, my work was taking me to Seattle.

I have a leadership offsite for the next three days and follow-up meeting that go on till the next week. As I lie the hotel bed in Bellevue, one of the suburbs of Seattle I can’t help but wonder where I’ve reached in the last seven years of my career.

About seven years ago I came to Bellevue for the first time with Expedia. I was a recruiter back then and I all I wanted to do was to enjoy being in the US. I also remember going to Las Vegas which was a gift to my leadership had given me for exceptional performance in my first year. It was soooo cold…Brrrr.. as it is today!!!

Over the years many such travel opportunities came my way. I got the opportunity to go to Jordan and meet the King of Jordan (pretty phenomenal) and I got to travel to the entire South Asia, spend winters in South Korea and see the beautiful coast of Australia. All because of Expedia…

This year, I plan to goto Tokyo, see more of the US, Rome, hopefully some Mexico and South America and then wrap the year in Maldives… A girl can only dream!!

As I go to bed, I feel humbled by the opportunities provided to me by my organisation and the universe. When I was young I could have never imagined such a future for myself but I know my travels are not yet over for I have the world to see and experiences to live. Good night world.
