It started with a random photo of mine I re-shared yesterday on Instagram.
Nothing majorly dramatic! A random moment that my husband captured while I was thinking away to glory. No filters, no intention, no curated caption. But then the love tsunami rolled in. The DMs. The quiet hearts and loud reactions. And suddenly, I was reminded of something I’ve always known but don’t say often enough:
I have incredible friends. And none of them belong in the same universe.
They’re like my own personal Avengers—each living wildly different lives, scattered across cities, time zones, and emotional bandwidths. Some are climbing corporate ladders in uncomfortable shoes in godforsaken cities and climates. Some are raising tiny humans and trying to remember what sleep felt like. Some are out there taking silent retreats or gym selfies. Others are hustling to move mountains in their businesses or participating in cricket matches as if it’s a full-time job.
They don’t know each other very well. Their paths rarely cross. They don’t all sit in one WhatsApp group or brunch together on Sundays. But here’s the magic—they all show up, in their own ways, exactly when I need them.
When I’m winning, they cheer. When I’m spiralling, they listen. When I ghost the world, they quietly lurk and like things until I reappear. They’re not in each other’s orbit but somehow, they all orbit me. And I don’t say this from ego but with immense gratitude.
Because in a world obsessed with curated squads and matching instagrams or vacation hashtags, I’ve built something weirder and way more beautiful: a chaotic, uncoordinated, deeply supportive constellation of people who may never share a table, but who somehow make up the table I lean on when life wobbles.
So here’s to the quiet friendships. The mismatched puzzle pieces. The ones who don’t always fit together, but fit me just right.
I see you. I love you. And when the next emotional apocalypse hits…don’t worry, I’ll assemble you.
