I Suffer From: Midnight Anxiety and an Overloaded Brain

Never did I ever wonder why in the middle of the night I would get up anxious about where I had kept my passport or where was the last place I had kept my car keys..I was also backtracking things in my mind and as my husband comments quite often, built an unlimited cache in my head of things and memories..everyone things I am a responsible person..

I have tuned myself to remembering things and events and incidents from years ago.. things I should have let go and thoughts I shouldn’t worry about but even when I press delete in my head, I somehow hit a 404!

Coming to the US, I realised things got a little out of hand… I would get up in the middle of the night to re-arrange my wardrobe or Kon-Mari multiple times in a week. I love throwing out things that I haven’t used in a week but I can remember every single thing I have owned ever.

These days I have started reading a lot about this and have realised I have OCD.. or obsessive compulsive disorder.. thoughts get stuck in my head.. simple things like cleaning the sink or folding my blanket which is in the other room..and in the middle or the night I will get up from my sleep to do it or else that thought will keep knocking in my head until I am fully awake and unable to do anything else..

Interesting things one discovers about themselves when they live alone..More on this when I dig deeper..

Till later!
